This is a model of a two-story country home. It is still a work in progress. The model was made using Maya. It was textured using Quixel Mixer and inside of Unreal Engine. To texture it in Quixel I did use a ColorID method, but there was a lot of bleed through, so the maps had to be cleaned up in Photoshop. They are ugly, so I am not putting them here, but it worked. I rendered the model using Arnold in Maya, as well as in Unreal Engine. The game demo tile below shows the house being used in Unreal Engine as an interactive game asset.
Why Quixel Mixer? At the time, it was a free texturing software that was close to Substance Painter and I was using it to teach my students how to use it since Substance Painter was not available for use in my school district.
